ESSEX: NEX AI

This project examined how artificial intelligence can be strategically integrated into retail experiences by analyzing a brand that had not yet adopted AI-driven customer engagement. My team selected Essex, a New York-based retail concept store, and researched opportunities to enhance the customer journey through emerging AI technologies. I conducted industry research on current AI capabilities, including agentic and generative AI, while evaluating their potential applications within the retail environment. The project explored how AI could improve personalization, customer service, product discovery, and operational efficiency while also addressing ethical considerations such as bias, transparency, and authorship. Through trend forecasting, competitive analysis, and visual presentation design, I translated complex research into actionable recommendations, demonstrating how Essex could leverage AI to create a more engaging, personalized, and future-focused customer experience.
